The Life of a Proposal

There are multiple steps to get a proposal through, and it takes a bit of time. (How much time will depend on the parameters of a given DAO.)

Each step requires input from DAO members to move forward.
Here’s the basic life of a proposal. :

  1. Proposal is submitted to a DAO.
  2. Proposal gets a sponsor from within the DAO.
  3. DAO Voting Period
  4. Grace Period
  5. Proposal Must be Processed

If you’re submitting a proposal remember to check on the time frames for each of these. When voting and grace periods are taken into account, it might take a week or more for a proposal to be approved and processed.
