~The Voxel Universe~
The Voxel Universe is an open world of MagicaVoxel designed lands for users to interact with and build upon. We’re a metaverse built by the people for the people.
Our vision is to create an ethical metaverse environment based on Ethereum. Some of our key virtues are full transparency, development over time that we can show the community(gradual development), proper pay for people that help the project(artists don’t get screwed, developers are properly compensated for their time).
The main problem TVU is the overall growth of our project and funding. We’re struggling with our current Santorini collection mint. These funds we’re going to help fund development within our world for at least the next 2 months.
The solution to our problems could easily be gaining more attention to the project, and having more individuals mint our collections.
The products that we produce are in metaverse plots of land that are all themed. These are all handmade assets created in MagicaVoxel that we port into our Unity-based world. 100% handmade not generated and built from scratch world. We take pride in our hard work to tell people that these collections take weeks to produce.
We validate our idea of TVU by showing people in and around the NFT community what a true ethical project looks like. We show them full transparency, actual development, and a legal entity with backing to stay above the board!
The progress of our world is currently in beta. We just launched our beta metaverse where users can walk around and see our Tour of Japan collection. Currently, we’re working on a few things to improve the user experience like colliders, character movements, mini-map, water, and glass texture fixes.
The Voxel Universe is different in the sense that we’re operating under an LLC: The Voxel Universe LLC which is North Carolina Based. We work with a team of CPAs to ensure we’re meeting all reporting obligations and state laws. As well as our full transparency commitment. The community knows exactly what funds are used for and when. We even announce all transactions from TVU controlled ETH wallets directly in our discord. TVU also has a metaverse right off the bat while other projects don’t.
Currently, the team looks like this:
1 owner - John Singleton(that’s me)
5 Magica voxel artists that create the gorgeous plots of land
2 web devs that focus on the website, email, and game server maintenance
3 Unity devs that focus on improving the overall world
2 community managers that help with engagement and project partnerships
2 moderators for the community discord
total of 15 people atm!
Grant Request of $35,000 USD or equivalent.
This will help keep the lights on and help pay for future development.
These funds will be directly used for paying the team members for their hard work and for further development. We’ve just hit a bad spot and the timing in the market isn’t great.
