Faces of web3 creator onboarding & education program

Project name

The program is designed to introduce participants in each cohort to the concept of the ownership economy, blockchain technology fundamentals, as well as the tools that will come in handy as they transition from Web2 creators to Web3 savants.

To create a better life for minorities through Web3

Since FacesofWeb3 launched in January 2022, we have written extensively about Web3 via our substack. However, while onboarding our first 1,000 creators to the platform, we noticed a pattern. A large number of our community members were getting their first introduction to Web3 and the creator economy from us, and the available information was equally daunting and scattered, making it difficult for all but the most technically savvy to gain any kind of foothold in the new frontier. This was especially so for creators from Africa.

Faces of Web3, at its heart, is a platform that helps underrepresented creators build wealth by exploring innovative channels to expand their reach.

When we first started executing our vision, it became apparent that one of the major problems hindering us from achieving this goal was a high barrier of entry into Web3 and blockchain technology for many creators, due to a lack of succinct, easily digestible information all contained in one place.

As a result, we have come up with an extensive, expansive curriculum to help lay out the necessary information in a clear, concise, and easy-to-understand format, to help the creators transcend from being newbies in the space to champions of the ownership economy.

This gave rise to the FacesofWeb3 curriculum, which is designed to help creators gain the requisite knowledge to leverage on Web3 products to expand their reach and, by extension, build wealth.

They should be articulate about blockchain principles.

Validation / Traction / Progress so far

Over the past 8 months, we have grown exponentially onboarding over 100 creators to web3 via partnerships and Twitter spaces. We are doubling down on what works this month to launch a course to onboard the next million creators to web3. This course will be focused on creators and companies building for creators.

How did you hear about MGD’s Funding program

We read the Meta Gamma Delta DAO
revival article on Medium while researching platforms offering support to women. We took the chance to apply after a team member did some further research on platforms MGD provided with funding.
