Project Title - BlockAIDS
Description - A decentralized electronic solution designed for people living with HIV and key affected populations (drug users, LGBT, sex workers, etc.) allowing them to:
(i) get global access to their medical records, services, and goods;
(ii) to protect their anonymity by owning their personal data;
(iii) to get rewarded for healthy behaviors and preventive measures adhering.
Our ecosystem includes 19 NGOs (service centers and medical institutions) with more than 250 employees. Our electronic software counts 50k active users and over 1 mln transactions (medical records) in Moldova. We are in process of building global electronic storage for 5 countries (Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, and Kyrgyzstan) with more than 1 million users. Our partnerships include international organizations from the UN family, such as UNAIDS and other donor organizations (World Bank, Global Funds, PERFAR, UKAID, Elton John AIDS Foundation, etc.), and big pharma companies (HIV R&D investments).
Live access to our current electronic ecosystem (19 service/medical centers, 50k users, 1mln transactions):
Manifesto/Vision - We are performing a transformation from web2 to web3 of our electronic ecosystem that will stop AIDS around the world. It’s a mobile app on the blockchain that gives access to medical history, services, and medicines to people living with Aids from any place in the world.
Though it is designed for people, our ecosystem serves the big pharmaceutical companies by providing access to millions of people living with Aids, in order to make research, test new medicines, and develop better treatments.
We are building a decentralized database to store medical records, transparent to all participating organizations from the ecosystem and still transparent for people living with aids.
Our organization is supported globally by international social organizations, such as UNAIDS, WORLD BANK, THE GLOBAL FUND, PERFAR, UKAID, OPEN SOCIETY FOUNDATION, etc.
Currently, we have an ecosystem that includes the following infrastructure:
19 services centers, that provide medicines, services, and goods for people living with HIV and those from groups at risk
A unified, scalable electronic platform designed for evidence of medicines, services, and goods for people living with HIV and those from groups at risks
An Ecosystem formed of International Organizations, Donors, Regional and Local Organizations, that support our project
The numbers: 50k users and 1.2m transactions ( in Moldova).
Our organization has developed an electronic platform for people living with HIV from Moldova, as a pilot country. Globally, we work with countries from central Europe and Asia, and in near future Africa (millions of users).
We are looking to partner up with a blockchain, powerful enough to onboard millions of users (people living with HIV and those from groups at risk). Our main goals, in terms of web3 integration, proposes the following step:
Integration with DIDs will ensure our users’ self-ownership and anonymity
Storage of not personalized medical records (usage of medicines and services) on a blockchain, to make it transparent and accessible from all over the world for people living with HIV and for the other members of the Ecosystem (pharmaceutical companies, donors, governments, procurement organizations, etc.)

Problem -
Healthcare Systems Inneficiency
Healthcare systems are plagued by inefficiencies, high costs, and data breaches. Patient data is also at risk of being stolen, misused, or lost. Currently, the money and resources provided globally by donor organizations serve more the interests of intermediaries (regional and country organizations) than of people living with HIV.
Lack of globalization
Medical records are scattered across multiple systems, making it difficult for healthcare providers to access critical information quickly. Each country owns patients’ medical records and personal data. Going to another country means a complete loss of data for patients.
Lack of transparency
There is a lack of transparency and trust between patients, healthcare providers, and insurers. Data are not transparent (services & medicines consume). There are 3 layers of intermediaries (regional and country organizations) between donors / pharmaceutical companies and final beneficiaries
Lack of anonimity
There is no adequate protection over the people living with HIV personal data. In short, the employees of service centers, local and regional organizations have access to personal data. As result, we have stigma and exclusion faced by people living with HIV and marginalized populations
Solution - A decentralized electronic solution designed for people living with HIV and key affected populations (drug users, LGBT, sex workers, etc.) allowing them to get global access to their medical records, services, and goods, to protect their anonymity by owning their personal data and to get rewarded for healthy behaviors and preventive measures adhering.
Product Features - We are building for our users (people living with HIV and those from groups at risk) the Loyalty and Reward Electronic System - a subnet designed to promote and incentivize healthy behaviors and preventive measures for individuals living with HIV as well as those from high-risk groups such as drug users, LGBT individuals, and sex workers. By utilizing a comprehensive range of rewards and benefits, the system aims to ensure that individuals engage in regular activities that contribute to their overall health, well-being, and the safety of others.
The system incorporates various modules and features to address the specific needs of the target populations:
a. Treatment Adherence and Health Management: The system encourages individuals living with HIV to adhere to their treatment plans by providing rewards for consistently taking prescribed medications, attending medical appointments, and undergoing necessary tests and analyses. It includes reminders for medication schedules and tracking mechanisms to monitor progress and achievements.
b. Preventive Measures: For individuals from high-risk groups, the system emphasizes the importance of preventive measures to reduce the risk of HIV infection. It incentivizes the use of condoms, provides access to sterile needless syringes, and promotes the utilization of social assistance services such as counseling, education programs, and testing facilities.
c. Education and Resources: The system features an extensive resource center with educational materials, articles, videos, and interactive tools that provide valuable information on HIV prevention, treatment, and overall health maintenance. Users can earn rewards by actively engaging with these educational resources, empowering them with the knowledge to make informed decisions.
d. Support Networks and Community Engagement: The platform facilitates the formation of support networks and communities, enabling individuals to connect with others facing similar challenges. It offers online support groups, forums, and messaging capabilities to foster social connections, exchange experiences, and seek guidance from peers.
e. Rewards and Incentives: The loyalty system provides a range of rewards and incentives to motivate and recognize positive behaviors. We want to make the rewards more tangible for users, that’s why we need an impact and reward token.
f. Governance. We are building a DAO around our beneficiaries. Those who contribute to the community (by staying healthy and non-contagious for others, attending support groups, adhering to treatment plans, participating in health education programs, creating and promoting educational resources, helping others, referring our System, contributing to the community by any other means) will have the right to vote for important community decisions.
Validation - Currently, we have an ecosystem that includes the following infrastructure:
19 services centers, that provide medicines, services, and goods for people living with HIV and those from groups at risk
A unified, scalable electronic platform designed for evidence of medicines, services, and goods for people living with HIV and those from groups at risks
An Ecosystem formed of International Organizations, Donors, Regional and Local Organizations, that support our project
The numbers: 50k users and 1.2m transactions ( in Moldova).
Progress - Our electronic software counts 50k active users and over 1 mln transactions (medical records) only in Moldova. And we are now building global electronic storage for 5 countries (Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, and Kyrgyzstan) with more than 1 million users. Our partnerships include international organizations from the UN family, such as UNAIDS, other donor organizations (World Bank, Global Funds, PERFAR, UKAID, Elton John AIDS Foundation, etc.), and big pharmaceutical companies (HIV R&D investments).
Differentiation (from other projects) - Our project is meaningfully different from what others are building in the blockchain industry:
We are building a real-value social project to be used by millions of users
Our target audience are people living with HIV and key affected populations
There is almost no competition. Some countries have different electronic systems, but nothing global, without providing direct access to their users’ medical records. There is no alternative to our project in web3
(19 service centers and medical institutions in Moldova, with over 250 employees; an electronic software that counts 50k active users and over 1 mln transactions (in terms of medical records for over 6 Years)
