68: Funding Proposal - ScreensaverWORLD
Just as the Internet revolutionized communication, blockchain tech is revolutionizing ownership. With the advent of NFTs the creator has been given a new relationship to the ownership of their own art. We sit at the base of an incredible ascent and the future of this technology is ours to decide. ScreensaverWORLD has always been an experiment in building a creator owned and built marketplace. We are doing this to stop the forces of centralization from once again nullifying the power of the creator and forcing us to knock at the gates of yet another institution. Let’s build something that challenges the paradigm set by marketplaces like Opensea.
We are asking for a grant to update our smart contracts to allow for a separate and more sophisticated auction contract. This will allow us to start the process of letting artists own their own contracts by decoupling auction logic from token ownership. If we have any extra funds we will use them to add more file type support and improve the Frontend of site to improve usability.
We believe this will cost around $4k. Thank you!!!
